Sushant Singh Rajput fans slam online company for selling t-shirts with ‘misleading’ message about actor’s death | Hindi Movie News

Fans of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput have heavily criticized an e-commerce site – Flipkart – for selling a ‘misleading’ message on a t-shirt.

The brand, which is said to have launched its new line of t-shirts, faced anger from fans when a t-shirt bearing the late actor’s image with the message ‘Depression is like drowning ” has gone viral online. Enraged by the post that the actor had taken his own life, many took to Twitter to share their shock and anger over it.

Calling it a “smear campaign” against the late actor, fans demanded an apology from the online shopping platform and removal of the shirt from their line.

Twitter users who were offended by the message on the t-shirt claimed the actor “was not a depression patient”. Some went on to point out that the CBI has yet to release its final findings on the case. Others have alleged the actor was “killed” and insisted he did not die by suicide.

Many filed grievances on the e-commerce site, while another decided to take the legal route. In a tweet, one SSR fan said, “I will notify @Flipkart tonight (for approving material defaming a deceased) as an ordinary and responsible citizen. & BW Killed SSR DreamProjects TL participants.”

Rajput was found dead at his residence in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. While initial reports said the cause of his death was “accidental death”, the case which was originally handled by the Mumbai Police, was then handed over to the CBI, ED and NCB for further investigation.

In the latest update on the death case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has filed proposed indictments against actor Rhea Chakraborty, his brother Showik and others in a special court. The prosecution proposed to the court to indict Rhea and Showik for the consumption of narcotics as well as procuring and paying for these substances for the deceased actor Rajput.
