Galvin Green Maddox Polo Review

In this Galvin Green Maddox polo shirt review, I give my opinion on the premium garment after putting it through its paces on the course and while practicing to find out if it is one of the best golf shirts on the market.

What is my height/what is my build?
I’m just over 6ft 3in and slim – a nightmare to find clothes that fit.

What do I normally wear? Does it fit large/small?
In polo I normally wear a size medium but can sometimes require a size large. This is one of the dilemmas facing a golfer of my size and build. I tested the Galvin Green Maddox in size medium and found it to fit well. If I had to nitpick on behalf of all golfers, it was a little tight – something to remember for those who prefer a looser fit.

How did it fit/feel/execute?
Galvin Green is a name synonymous with golf and a name synonymous with high quality products. It will therefore come as no surprise to learn that the Maddox polo shirt was comfortable to wear.

In particular, the fabric used in the construction is incredibly soft, which makes it very comfortable to wear. It’s also highly breathable and stretchy, meaning it’s a perfect polo shirt for sunny days where sweat can be an issue. Although it was a bit tighter than I would have ideally liked, at no point while playing or training did I feel restricted when swinging.

On the look side, the style is a bit offbeat. Galvin Green says the design is inspired by pixels turned into flowers, but to me it looks more like a gigantic tetris game. Although it’s not something I would normally wear, I’m sure there are many who would appreciate this as it’s a bit different. As you can see in the photos, I tested it in green but it also exists in black, navy and light blue.

Any additional details we noticed?
It may seem a bit insignificant, but it dries very quickly after a wash or if you get caught in a shower. It’s a minor detail but adds something more.

Can you wear it off the course?
Given the design, I’d say this is a polo shirt that wouldn’t work beyond the golf club, but again, that’s personal preference. It fits quite well and is comfortable enough to definitely be an option for people with a daring fashion sense.
