Four Wycombe kits for sale at Classic Football Shirts

More retro Wycombe Wanderers shirts are currently on sale on a website specializing in classic football kits.

Classic Football Shirts, which has outlets in Manchester and London but is known for its massive online store, has revealed that of the tens of thousands of kits on offer, four items are Chairboys related.

It comes after the site put two Wanderers shirts up for sale in March, which was coincidentally the same month that 15 retro Wycombe kits were donated to the Aylesbury Vale Dynamos FC charity clothing drive, to help those in Ukraine, as well as the football charity, Aid Kit.

The shirts currently on sale are as follows:

1994/95 home shirt (large: £149.99)

Like two months ago, another home jersey from the 1994/95 season is up for grabs.

However, this shirt is a big one compared to the March one which saw a small one.

This campaign was Wycombe’s second as a Football League side and first in the former Division Two (which is now League One).

1995/96 Third Shirt (large: £174.99)

Considered a rare collector’s item, the red and black striped kit was one of several old Wycombe shirts that were donated to the Aylesbury Vale Dynamos kit drive on March 25, in support of the Kit Aid charity.

The shirt was going to be sent to Africa, but following huge fan interest in buying the item, along with many other shirts, Dynamos, through Bucks Free Press, agreed to auction off the memorabilia for the Kit Aid charity.

A total of £1,140.85 was raised, with the third donated 95/96 being sold for £130 to Wycombe fan George Carmichael.

That season, the Chairboys finished 12th in the old Division 2 (Ligue 1) with 60 points.

1999-01 Home Shirt (Plus Size: £179.99 #10 Devine)

To take you back to the 2001 FA Cup run which saw Wycombe reach the semi-finals for the first time, classic football shirts sell a home from the 1999/00 and 2000/01 seasons, complete with the name and number of Sean Devine on the back.

The highly regarded striker, who spent four seasons with the Adams Park club, scored 47 goals in 102 appearances for the club.

Thirty-three of his 47 goals came in the 99/00 season as he missed the entire 00/01 campaign with a knee injury.

This shirt was also one of many donated to the charity kit drive at Aylesbury Vale Dynamos in March this year.

The lucky winner of this item was Thomas Davey, who won the shirt at auction for £76.

2011/22 away kit (extra wide: £39.99)

The most recent kit available for purchase is the away kit for the 2011/12 season.

That campaign, which was Gareth Ainsworth’s last as a full-time footballer, before taking over as player-manager the following campaign, saw the Chairboys relegated from League One to League Two.

It was the fourth year in a row that Wanderers had either gained promotion or suffered relegation.
