Camino Gravel Challenge is holding a t-shirt design contest | New

Calling all artists in Palestine TX! For this year’s Camino Gravel Challenge event, organizers are partnering with the Dogwood Arts Council to sponsor a t-shirt design contest.

Event coordinators want to come up with a new t-shirt design for this year’s event that better represents Palestine and its roots in East Texas. Rather than trying to design something themselves, they want to invite the community to participate in their t-shirt design contest.

The winner will receive a $250 cash prize and a $100 Walmart gift card, in addition to having their work featured on the official loot given out to attendees of the event. Applications should be submitted at

The 9th annual Camino Gravel Challenge gravel cycling event, formerly known as “Camino 205,” returns to Anderson County on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25.

This unique event attracts cyclists from across the region to ride and compete through the beautiful backroad landscape of Palestine and the surrounding area.

Saturday, September 24 will feature a free afternoon for anyone who wishes to attend and will include live music, vendors and more.
